Spring cleaning is so two months ago. Fort Worthians have two upcoming chances to spruce up the city with some outside summer cleaning.
If you can manage rolling out of bed at 8:30 a.m. this Saturday, you can join the Tarrant Regional Water District at Hogsett Trailhead on East Northside Drive for the city’s inaugural Pop-Up Cleanup.
The group hopes to gather community members to help rid the Trinity River of its trash-filled predisposition. In general, the group helps ensure local water quality, protection measures and spearheads volunteer opportunities like these for all of Tarrant County.
But if you have trouble rolling out of bed, feel free to join the second cleanup seven days later (yeah, still a Saturday) at Hope Church at 1750 Beach Street.
These pop-up events are making up for the rained out Spring Trash Bash, according to TRWD.
Registering isn’t necessary. Just show up and get to work.
Feel free to phone them at 817-335-2491 for any questions.
