Everything’s bigger in Texas and tickets for the Dallas Mavericks NBA Finals home games are no exception. Although this isn’t what local Dallas fans had in mind when they had visions of beating the Boston Celtics, it’s a fact that remains.
According to ticketing technology company Logitix, the Dallas Mavericks are ahead of the Boston Celtics in ticket demand on the secondary market.
To add insult to a 0 and 2 Finals record, Logitix also reports that demand for Celtics tickets are lower this year compared to the last time they played the Finals in 2022, when they lost out to the Golden State Warriors 4 to 2.
According to Logitix data, Mavericks tickets are going for an average price of $2,069. This compared to the Celtics’ average of $1,657 for a respective home game leaves an over $400 gap between ticket prices. However, this gap gets wider the closer fans get to the court at American Airlines Center. According to a release, Logitix found that the average ticket price for the lower level is $3,252 in Dallas, compared to $2,472 in Boston.
In fact, Boston’s first two home games were actually higher in 2022, the last time the Celtics were in the NBA Finals.
- Home game 1 in 2022: $1,946
- Home game 1 in 2024: $1,440
- Home game 2 in 2022: $1,824
- Home game 2 in 2024: $1,669
The NBA Finals will tip off tonight at 7:30 p.m. and can be seen on ABC and ESPN. This will be the first home game for the Mavericks who lost their first two series meets to the Celtics in Boston.
