Days after Texas Gov. Greg Abbott announced that mask mandates and capacity restrictions will end starting March 10, local businesses have been steadily making announcements either to keep, adjust, or do away with their existing COVID-19 policies. To support those that do require masks, the city's convention and visitors bureau, Visit Fort Worth, is launching a campaign directing both locals and visitors to those establishments.
The campaign, titled “Stay Strong: Together We Win,” includes an online listing of businesses requiring or strongly encouraging masks, along with downloadable graphics that businesses can use for printing and posting. Visit Fort Worth plans to update this list daily as more businesses sign up.
Among those listed are venues like Dickies Arena and the Fort Worth Convention Center; museums like the Amon Carter Museum of American Art, Kimbell Art Museum, and Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth; the Fort Worth Zoo; and Fort Worth Botanic Garden. The listing also includes restaurants and retailers like Flying Saucer, Salsa Limón, Fort Worth Barber Shop, and Fort Worth Camera, among others.
Transportation services like DFW Airport and TexRail remain under federal mandates requiring masks.

The "Stay Strong: Together We Win" campaign includes downloadable posters in both English and Spanish.
“We want to support the many organizations and businesses loved by visitors and locals alike that will continue strong health and safety measures even as we make progress against COVID-19,” Mitch Whitten, executive vice president of marketing and strategy for Visit Fort Worth, said in a statement. “There is a lot of interest in visiting Fort Worth this spring, for sports and our cultural attractions, so we want to help visitors get ready.”
Local groups like the City of Fort Worth, Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce, Fort Worth Now, Fort Worth Metropolitan Black Chamber of Commerce, and Fort Worth Hispanic Chamber of Commerce support the initiative.
“Stay Strong: Together We Win" marks Visit Fort Worth's seventh campaign since the pandemic began last March. The organization is also responsible for “Y’all Stay Home,” “Restaurant Curbside and To Go,” “Y’all Wear A Mask,” “Re-Open Responsibly,” “Band Together,” and, launched earlier this week, “Love Local.”
