Billy Bob's Texas:
Steve Earle & The Dukes
In the strictest sense, Steve Earle isn't a country artist; he's a roots rocker. Earle emerged in the mid-'80s, after Bruce Springsteen had popularized populist rock & roll and Dwight Yoakam had kick-started the neo-traditionalist movement in country music. At first, Earle appeared to be more indebted to the rock side than country, as he played a stripped-down, neo-rockabilly style that occasionally verged on outlaw country. However, his unwillingness to conform to the rules of Nashville or rock & roll meant that he never broke through into either genre's mainstream. Instead, he cultivated a dedicated cult following, drawing from both the country and rock audiences.

Hyena's Comedy Night Club:
Robert Hawkins
In 2001, Robert Hawkins was voted one of the 25 top comics in the country in a poll of comedy club owners nominating candidates for the American Comedy Awards. Needless to say, given all these victories, achievements and accolades, he’s starred in his own Comedy Central half-hour special, appeared on “Late Night With Conan O’Brien” and a slew of other TV shows.

Billy Bob's Texas: Jamey Johnson
Singer/songwriter Jamey Johnson is just as comfortable mopping up the tears on the barroom floor with an old Hank Williams-style ballad as he is tearing the roof off with a honky tonk juggernaut. The Alabama native and former Marine rose to the top of the Nashville food chain through blood, sweat, and tears. Being raised in a devout and deeply musical family helped the new traditionalist find his voice, but it wasn't until he moved to Music City that the world began to take notice.
