Let's just say 2018 is shaping up to be a big year for The Foundry District.
If you haven't been there yet, The Foundry District is the development located along Carroll Street between West Seventh Street and White Settlement Road — marked by art projects like Katie Murray's “Don't Quit Your Daydream” mural, Inspiration Alley, and the “Spread Your Wings and Fly” yarn bomb installation by London Kaye. Existing tenants in the development include men's grooming shop The Lathery, restaurant Clay Pigeon and fitness studio City Surf Fitness.
And there will be more. Here's everything (so far) that's set to open in the development this year — in order.
Doc's Records & Vintage
One of the first tenants to open in 2018, Doc's 9,800-square-foot record store is expected to open late January or early February.
Wheelhouse II
This 8,000-square-foot creative office space will house homebuilder CG Northern, public relations and marketing agency HOLLAND Collective, medical spa Fusion Medical, and The Foundry District developers themselves, M2G Ventures. It's expected to open February or March.
Wheelhouse II is an extension of Wheelhouse I, the existing office spaces at The Foundry District, where companies like M2G and security company Tactical Systems Network (TSN) are currently located. When M2G moves from Wheelhouse I to Wheelhouse II, TSN is expected to take up the vacated space.
Gifted
Gifted, mostly known for its online and pop-up shops, will open a brick and mortar in the spring. The Fort Worth-based lifestyle shop offers an assortment of items including jewelry, home goods and stationery.
Craftwork Coffee Co.
Craftwork is expected to open its third location around the same time as Gifted. This will be the coffee shop/coworking space's largest location at 3,900 square feet. Along with offering workspaces and amenities, as well as space for pop-up shops, this Craftwork location will also serve cocktail-coffee blends alongside its traditional drink menu.
Blackland Distillery
A distillery is also set to open in The Foundry District this summer. Blackland will operate in an approximately 5,000-square-foot space that includes a tasting room for vodka, gin and whiskey.
