Reader Pick: BRIK Special Events Venue
One of the newest additions to the growing Fort Worth event venue inventory, this 100-year-old Near Southside building off of South Calhoun Street was vacant for years until 2015, when Lynsie Blau acquired it and set off on her dream of owning an event venue. The rustic and modern space offers separate ceremony and reception areas and an outdoor courtyard.

Editors' Pick: The 4 Eleven
Here's another addition to the event scene that's even more recent than BRIK. A venture of entrepreneur Jamey Ice and partners, The 4 Eleven — 411 South Main St. on the Near Southside — offers multiple looks for events: a 1920s renovated warehouse with customizable space, garden with ivy-draped vintage brick walls, and two-room kitchen and living space furnished in midcentury modern.

Reader Pick: Fixture - Kitchen and Social Lounge
Ben Merritt's Fixture has something for every Happy Hour taste. Sit in the warmly appointed main dining room or the indoor-outdoor bar, or on the patio outside. Order up a few of Merritt's noshes off the Happy Hour menu (Beet Fries, seasonal vegetables and dip, fried duck wings – you know, the usual pub grub) and a cool beverage, and enjoy.

Editors' Pick: Rio Mambo
It's difficult keeping track of all of Rio Mambo's Happy Hour drink and food specials, but, clearly, you won't go thirsty or hungry. The place has $1 Happy Hour discounts from 3-7 p.m. weekdays and discounts for Wine Down Wednesday and Thirsty Thursday. The food is just as varied, ranging from Nachos Gringos to small plates – Platos Pequenos.

Reader Pick: Reservoir
The readers love Emil Bragdon's raucous Reservoir for a bunch of reasons. It's a great place to watch a game. Just don't count on being able to hear the action above the din of the crowd.
