Fort Worth has plenty of dog-friendly bars and restaurants but a limited number of true dog parks. That didn't stop us from looking here and beyond the city's line to find places where your pup can get some exercise. Throw your dog a bone and take your fur baby to one of these parks in and around Fort Worth.
ZBonz Dog Park
6950 W. Camp Bowie Blvd.
ZBonz Dog Park is the biggest dog park in Fort Worth. Built on the former Z Boaz Golf Course, this 10-acre park is separated so dogs can safely play with others of their own size. Seven acres are dedicated for large dogs, and three acres are meant for small dogs under 40 pounds. ZBonz has agility equipment for the dogs to play on, two shelters, two aerated ponds and pet water fountains. The park is closed on Mondays for maintenance but open 11 a.m.-11:30 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and until midnight on the weekends.
Fort Woof Dog Park
751 Beach St.
Fort Woof is a smaller dog park with 3.4 acres for big dogs and 1.6 acres for small dogs, making it easier to keep an eye out on your pup. Equipped with agility courses, water fountains, shaded shelters and waste stations, the park is open from 5 a.m.-11:30 p.m., except on Mondays, when it opens at 11:30 a.m.
The Yard

The newest dog park in Fort Worth, The Yard, opened March 9 and serves as a place where dogs play — and their parents can drink. The beer garden has a fenced-in dog park open to dogs of all sizes that is stocked with dog toys. The Yard also offers a special dog menu.
Tails N' Trails Dog Park
950 S.E. Green Oaks Blvd, Arlington
Tails N' Trails Dog Park in Arlington is open from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m., with the exception of Tuesdays, when it opens at noon. Similar to other dog parks, the 5.7 acres are separated into two areas dedicated for large and small dogs. Small dogs under 30 pounds are allowed in the large dog area at the owner's discretion. The park also has walking nature trails.
Rush Creek Dog Park
1900 Valleywood Drive, Arlington
Rush Creek Dog Park is a 5.3-acre park in Arlington. Open from 5 a.m. to noon (with the exception of Wednesdays when it opens at noon), the park has separate areas for small and large dogs and offers shaded areas, benches and 49 new trees.
Arrowhead Park
1300 Autumn Mist Way, Arlington
The Viridian development in Arlington has its first dog park, Arrowhead Park, which offers toys for the dogs to play with and a pond for them to cool off and doggy paddle in — the water is constantly flowing to keep it clean. The park is fenced with a double gate to provide a safe environment.
Boo Boo's Buddies Dog Park
3901 N. White Chapel, Southlake
Boo Boo's Buddies Dog Park is a part of Bob Jones Park. The dog park was added in 2006 and is 2.5 acres, located near the softball complex. There are fountains at the park, but it's suggested you bring your own dog bowl to fill up.
Patsy Hooks Dog Park
379 Jack Borden Way, Weatherford
Patsy Hook Dog Park opened in 2014 as part of Heritage Park in Weatherford. The park is open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. six days a week and closed Wednesdays for maintenance.
