For many people nowadays, coffee seems to function more as a basic necessity than the occasional luxury. Lucky for Fort Worth's Cultural District, AVOCA Coffee Roasters is debuting their second location on West 7th at 835 Foch Street. The location is set to open late this fall, but a grand opening date is not finalized.
“In the four years AVOCA has been open, we have enjoyed being involved in the Fort Worth community and building great relationships with our customers and staff,” said co-founder Jimmy Story. “We are excited to expand and have friends old and new stop by for a cup of coffee.”
The West 7th location will mimic menu options of the Magnolia Avenue location, but will feature an expanded line of baked goods from Boopa's Bagels, Le Chat Noir Cupcake Bordello and Bakery, McKinley Bakery & Cafe, Stir Crazy Baked Goods and Swiss Pastry Shop.
The simple, industrial feel of AVOCA's first location will be sustained through high, exposed ceilings and a fluid, light color scheme. An outdoor patio and expansive “banquet-style” indoor seating will be added to make the second location unique to West 7th.
AVOCA will be showcasing its new cold brew on tap to enjoy in-house or at home, along with the roaster's traditional coffee and tea offerings.
“We look forward to opening in the heart of the Cultural District, where there are many great restaurants, shops and other local businesses,” said co-founder Garold LaRue. “We'll be in good company.”
