TCU will be holding its 13th annual First Pitch banquet on Friday, Feb. 12 at the Omni Hotel in downtown Fort Worth.
Two notable TCU alumni, Jake Arrieta and Matt Carpenter will headline the event and participate in a question and answer session.
Chicago Cubs Pitcher Jake Arrieta had an amazing 2015 season, winning the National League Cy Young Award. Arrieta pitched for TCU in 2006 and 2007.
Matt Carpenter, two-time National League All-Star third baseman for the St. Louis Cardinals, played for TCU from 2005-2009 and was a three-time all-conference performer. He was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in 2009 and has since had a stellar career with a batting average of .287 in 590 games played and 53 home runs with 605 career hits.
The banquet is sold out but waiting list spots are still available.
