Ridgmar Mall will look quite different soon.
The enclosed shopping mall owned by GK Developments Inc. is moving forward with redevelopment plans for a new mixed-use space with diverse retail, dining and entertainment.

Architects for the project, InPlace Design, have posted preliminary renderings for the project on its website. According to the website, the current design features a 75-acre, 1.4 million-square-foot space that includes a mixture of retail, restaurants and residential spaces with an urban streetscape and open-air space. According to GK Developments, the renderings are subject to change as new tenants are added. There is no date yet for when the project will be complete.

The first phase of renovations at Ridgmar began in 2016 when interior improvements were made, including a $3 million remodel of Cinemark Theatres. SeaQuest Interactive Aquarium, a 27,000-square-foot aquarium with both sea and land animals, is also a part of the project, set to open in late 2017.
