The Associated Press released the final Top 25 Poll of the season and the Horned Frogs find themselves at No. 7. TCU jumped four spots from the previous week after beating Oregon 47 - 41 on Jan. 2 in an epic 31-point comeback in the Valero Alamo Bowl. The Frogs were ranked No. 2 in the AP preseason poll but an unprecented string of 22 injuries lead to two road losses - Oklahoma and Oklahoma State. Despite the injuries (and a Boykin suspension before the Alamo Bowl) TCU finished the season at 11-2 in what many are calling Gary Patterson's best coaching job yet. The TCU Athletics department released this season wrap up video Monday which pretty much sums it up perfectly. WARNING: Be prepared for a sports cry.
The No. 7 ranking means that TCU is the top in Texas, with Houston and Baylor falling behind at No. 8 and No.10 respectively. Alabama takes the No.1 spot after clenching the College Football Championship in last night's game.
For those of you who are already having withdrawals, there are only 234 days until TCU's 2016 season opener at home against South Dakota State.
