Girl Scouts run the largest girl-led entrepreneurship program in the world, the Girl Scout Cookie Program, allowing them to learn the art of running a business starting in kindergarten.
During this highly anticipated time of the year, Girl Scouts flex their entrepreneurial muscles and acquire important life skills like goal setting, decision-making, money management, people skills, and business ethics. All proceeds from cookie sales stay with local councils and troops to power Girl Scouts' amazing experiences year-round.

During the Cookie Season, the uniqueness of each troop shines with its special ways of providing customer service. Girl Scouts use technology to create videos to share with families and friends about their goals for the cookie program. Others provide thank you notes letting customers know how buying a package of Girl Scout cookies supports them throughout the year, which could include attending summer camps, completing community service projects, or travelling with fellow Girl Scouts.

“When bold, goal-getting Girl Scouts sell a package of cookies, they’re doing much more than what’s seen at face value,” says Becky Burton, CEO of Girl Scouts of Texas Oklahoma Plains. “Girl Scouts are entrepreneurial powerhouses creating a more equitable future for themselves and the world. Every box of cookies sold provides invaluable experiences for Girl Scouts, such as service projects, travel, and summer camp.”
How to Purchase Girl Scout Cookies This Year:
- If you know a registered Girl Scout, reach out to her to find out how she's selling cookies.
- Visit gs-top.org/fwinc to find a booth near you.
- Don’t want to take the cookies home, but want to support Girl Scouts? Stop by any Cookie Booth and donate to Cookies for Heroes. Girl Scouts will make sure your cookie purchase is donated to a first responder in their area.
Girl Scouts in grades K–12 can start their journey to fun, friendship, and new experiences by joining the world's largest entrepreneurial organization for girls at any point in the year. Girls can join and adults can become volunteers at www.gs-top.org/join.
