NEIGHBORHOOD SUMMARY:
Largely centered around a park with pedestrian and bike paths, Tanglewood offers a close-knit neighborhood feel with tree-filled streets and one and two-story ranch-style homes. In close to proximity to TCU, Colonial Country Club and upscale shopping, many consider it to be a prime Fort Worth location.
Lemuel J. Edwards owned much of the area, which was known as “Edwards Ranch” until it was sold by the family for development. Much of the Edwards Ranch land is being developed today and the Edwards family still lives in Tanglewood.
