With so many people juggling work, meal plans, and get-togethers this time of year, it can be impossible to keep up with local events happening just around the corner. It’s for this reason Fort Worth Magazine has compiled a list of events going on in Cowtown this holiday season. It’s not too late to find an event that could harness the Christmas spirit and get you out of the house for some fresh air.

It can be a bit unorthodox for a Fort Worthian to lace up something other than cowboy boots, but it’s all in the name of a good time. This rink will be open through February 5, so you have time to get a few rounds of practice in. Tickets for this event run $20 and include live music, Cowboys Santa’s Winter Wonderland, Avoca Cocoa & Coffee, and more. Skating is 25 % off on Mondays and Tuesdays. Click here for a map
What started as the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth’s 125th celebration in 2017 has continued in the form of trees filled with dazzling lights for the holidays. The tradition has remained, and the lights will be on display from November 25 through February 5. This year, Cafe Modern offers a new dinner series: Dinner with The Modern Lights. Fridays, 5 to 8:30 pm, Executive Chef Jett Mora will prepare creative cuisines made with Texas ingredients. Seating is available from 5 to 8:30 pm, and reservations can be made online.
