Charles Schwab Challenge at Colonial
First things first: Does a media credential get you in? I like food. I like drink. I like games. I like views.
Choctaw Casinos & Resorts is joining the Charles Schwab Challenge at Colonial family, the parties announced on Tuesday morning.
The casino and luxury resort owned and operated by the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma will be the presenting sponsor of the new Choctaw Club Village, a new triple decker hospitality venue overlooking the No. 10 fairway and No. 18 green for the annual PGA Tour stop at Marvin Leonard’s venerable links at Colonial Country Club.
The Choctaw Club will offer an air-conditioned first level and an expansive entertainment deck on the third level overlooking Colonial and downtown Fort Worth.
The entertainment deck will also feature free-to-play casino table games (blackjack and craps) where guests can play for prizes. Also available will be photo-ops, signature drinks, and lounge-style seating areas.
“We are excited to partner with the Charles Schwab Challenge at the Colonial and deepen our engagement in the Fort Worth community,” said Heidi Grant, senior executive officer for the Choctaw Nation, in a statement. “We look forward to having Village ticket holders experience the up-close views and the fun, high-energy atmosphere of the Choctaw Club.”
The 79th Charles Schwab Challenge is set for May 19-25. Davis Riley will undoubtedly be back to defend his championship. Riley defeated Scottie Scheffler and Collin Morikawa by five strokes in 2024. Scheffler, the best player in the world, has been a faithful participant at Colonial. We’ll keep our fingers crossed.
The Choctaw Club is one of three on-course Villages. Villages are also located on two of Colonial’s marquee par three holes: the ULTRA Club at No. 8 and the Village at No. 16. The Villages ticket also includes admission to the all-inclusive Poolside Plaza by Bank of Texas with VIP entrance to the course.
Tournament officials are saying that all three of the Villages have been “reimagined and improved to offer Villages ticket holders a completely new, high-quality experience.”
All-inclusive Villages tickets start at $350 per day, Thursday-Sunday. Tickets are now available at charlesschwabchallenge.com/tickets.
The Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma is the third-largest Indian nation in the United States with almost 230,000 tribal members and 12,000 employees.
Choctaw Casinos & Resorts features a variety of gaming, hotel, and resort properties throughout southeastern Oklahoma, including Durant, Grant, Pocola, Idabel, Broken Bow, McAlester, Stigler and Stringtown. Choctaw Nation opened the 100-room luxury resort, Choctaw Landing in Hochatown in April.
“The Choctaw Casinos & Resorts brand is synonymous with high-energy entertainment,” said Charles Schwab Challenge Tournament Director Michael Tothe. “They are definitely bringing an exciting vibe to the tournament that our fans are going to have a lot of fun with, especially in the Choctaw Club Village. We are thrilled to have Choctaw Casinos & Resorts onboard to further elevate our tournament experience.”
