The building at 3400 Bernie Anderson Ave. will soon become The Market at Ridglea.
As the city of Fort Worth continues to grow at rapid pace, so are locals' options for shopping.
Opening at 3400 Bernie Anderson Ave. off Camp Bowie Boulevard, The Market at Ridglea, a cooperative retail space, will be home to local and small businesses. The 6,700-square-foot space will hold approximately 40 retailers.
“With the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, retailers have faced challenges like never before,” says owner Amanda Wear, who also owns boutique Cowtown Couture. “For many small retailers, traditional brick-and-mortar stores are much too costly and not a viable business model.”
The Market will showcase an array of items from clothing to gifts and home décor. It will also feature an artisan’s corner where craftsmen will be able to highlight their goods.
“Cooperative retail spaces allow these retailers an option for a brick-and-mortar location without the cost of high building leases, overhead, staff expenses, etc.,” Wear says. “I’m really excited about our artisan’s corner.”
The Market is now leasing retail spaces (starting at 80 square feet) for local, small retailers, and Wear says several shops have already committed. The Market is set to open May 1.
