Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff
George W Bush
Forty-third president, George W. Bush, will deliver the keynote speech Saturday at the 2022 Cattle Raisers Convention & Expo at the Fort Worth Convention Center.
According to a press release, the weekend-long event, held March 25 – 27 and hosted by Texas & Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association (TSCRA), is the largest and most anticipated cattle and ranching industry event in the Southwest. The exposition expects more than 4,000 attendees, according to the same release.
In addition to the keynote speech, Red Steagall, best known for his Texas Swing dance music, will sit down with the former president for an open dialogue about Bush’s time in the White House, the challenges facing our nation today, and his work at the George W. Bush Presidential Center. Between war and Ukraine and the confirmation hearings of Supreme Court nominee Ketanji Brown Jackson, there’ll be no doubt plenty to chat about. Bush’s keynote will take place Saturday afternoon.
For three days, ranchers and cattle raisers will have the opportunity to witness live demonstrations; listen to guest speakers; and shop hunting gear, livestock feed and custom jewelry from vendors. Saturday night will feature a few lively activities, including a dinner and dance where western swing band Jake Hooker and the Outsiders will put on a live performance. An all-new late-night party on the convention floor featuring the Garrett Bradford Band will ensure the night owls don’t get stuck twiddling their thumbs at midnight.
“This year’s Cattle Raisers Convention & Expo will truly have something for everyone – ranchers, landowners, students, families, and even those who just want to come shop/browse the latest in western fashion & gear,” Jason Skaggs, CEO of TSCRA, says. “It’s truly an event for the whole family.”
A la carte pricing packages will range from $10 for a one-day expo pass to $480 for the entire conference. Tickets and additional information about the 2022 Cattle Raisers Convention & Expo can be found here.
