The bar on the 24th floor of the Kimpton Harper Hotel
The 1921 building that once served as XTO Energy's downtown headquarters will soon become a luxury hotel.
The Kimpton Harper Hotel will take over the space, expected to open spring 2021 with 226 rooms, a penthouse bar and lounge called Refinery 714, a modern Italian restaurant called Il Modo, 10,000 square feet of event and meeting space, and a rooftop observation deck with a 360-degree view of Fort Worth. Kimpton will also offer an evening social hour, morning coffee service, and complimentary bicycles available to the public.
The hotel will be operated by Pivot Hotels & Resorts, the lifestyle and luxury division of hospitality management company Davidson Hotels & Resorts. Davidson is collaborating with commercial real estate developer Development Services Group (DSG, Inc.) in the launch of Kimpton Harper.
“Leveraging the Pivot team’s ability to be agile and nimble to adapt to modern business needs, we understand that great service and profitability go hand-in-hand, and we look forward to developing unique and creative programming that will truly differentiate the Kimpton Harper," Thom Geshay, president of Davidson Hotels & Resorts, said in a statement.
Kimpton Harper will occupy the 24-story Farmers and Mechanics National Bank building, which DSG acquired in 2018. According to a news release, the hotel's design "blends modern elements with the existing architecture, infusing the urban icon with laid-back soul through luxury materials and subtle details."
