All Eyes on You. Instead of using eyeliner on the eyelid only, first line underneath the lash line with a black liner. Then line with your choice of color on the outer lash line to create a defined but natural look.
Basking in the Line-Light. Using a white or flesh-colored eyeliner pencil on the inner rims of your eyes will pop, both the color of your eyes and the shadow being used. This is a trick that dates back to the 1930s!
Va-Va-Voom Lashes. To maintain a long curled lash all day, use this three-layer process. First, curl your lashes. Second, use a lash primer. Third, use your favorite waterproof mascara. Waterproof mascara acts like a hairspray to set the curl. Place your mascara wand at the base of the lash to get an even coat of mascara from the root to the tip. This will give you voluminous lashes that look too good to be true.
Bang for Your Buck. Refrain from pumping your mascara brush during application. This allows excess air into the tube, which dries out your mascara causing it to become flaky. Warm the mascara tube in a cup of hot water. This will help to revive old mascara.
Bold Brows. Designer Calvin Klein once said, "The best thing is to look natural, but it takes makeup to look natural." To keep from looking like you've penciled in your brows, use a brow brush to comb hair downward. This will allow you to see the natural growth pattern as you fill in your brows to create a natural effect.
"Just in Crease" You Didn't Know. To brighten your eye color and create unity, use a small amount of blush and apply lightly to the center crease of your eye. This pulls the look together and creates a fresh look.
Lips That Last. Using foundation on your lips before applying your lipstick will help to keep the color in place during the day. Brushing the lips with translucent powder after applying lip color and before applying your lip gloss will set the color and allow it to last the whole day.
Freshen Up! To revive your foundation, place a tissue over the targeted area. Spray the tissue with a light mist of water. This will refresh your foundation and look as if you have just applied it.
