Known as a very DIY band, Grady Spencer & the Work offered up a very creative set list at Tannahill’s Tavern and Music Hall Friday. Originally formed in 2013, this quartet is all about its Texas blue-collar roots. But if you have to classify them, then you’ve already messed up. This band hails from Texas and is cut from the same cloth that makes us all proud to hail from the Lone Star State. They can’t be placed in a box. But if you enjoy a good hometown vibe with a cold libation then this is where Grady Spencer and the Work fit perfectly.
Another piece of the puzzle that makes up this band is its live performances. And all bets were off at the Tannahill’s show Friday. The set list was packed with over 20 songs from the band’s catalog, including “Winning Wrong”, “Feeling Fine”, “Forest Song”, and “Find You”.
