There's a new podcast for Fort Worthians looking to hear about city issues firsthand from new mayor Mattie Parker.
"Go Time in Fort Worth" is now live on Spotify, Amazon Music, Apple Podcasts, and Google Podcasts, as well as the city's website, launching with a roughly nine-minute episode — referred to as "episode zero" — introducing Parker and the gist of the show. Future episodes will highlight what's happening at City Hall and also include interviews with notable Fort Worthians making innovations around town.
"The title of this podcast is 'Go Time' for a reason because I think we're at the pinnacle of a lot of possibility," Parker said in the first episode. "But we have to take that responsibility seriously. If you want to be a world-class city, you have to act like it."
City staff members Bethany Warner, Katy Holloway, and John-Michael Perkins are producing the show. Listeners who'd like to suggest a future guest can do so via an online form.
