Kevin Fowler performs at the inaugural Fort Worth Music Festival & Conference.
If you thought the inaugural Fort Worth Music Festival & Conference was epic, then you haven’t seen anything yet. The second helping of this fest, which takes place on February 28 – March 2, 2024, is extending to several venues in the Stockyards, according to a release.
Some of the hot spots in this upcoming event include Tannahill’s Tavern & Music Hall, Tannahill’s Lobby, White Elephant Saloon, Love Shack, Billy Bob’s Texas, Cowboy Channel Studio, an outdoor stage, plus more yet to be announced. But don’t sleep on this news because early bird tickets for this musical gala are already on sale.
Attendees will have a chance to network with aspiring agents, managers, promoters, and emerging artists. Besides the venue expansion, the FWMF will also include panel discussions and keynote speakers with well-established and highly respected live music industry executives, networking opportunities, workshops, and live performances.
Produced by Live Nation, in partnership with celebrity Chef Tim Love and songwriter/rancher Larry Joe Taylor, the FWMF aims to generate awareness surrounding the Texas music scene. Love and Taylor say they wanted to build an infrastructure where artists can establish and grow their careers in Texas and beyond. The conference will unite music enthusiasts and provide rising artists with an overview on how to enter and establish themselves within the live music industry. To top all that off, this fest will also serve as a showcase for established acts and up-and-coming talent.
The numbers from the inaugural FWMF indicate that it drew more than 3,500 attendees from more than 25 U.S. states to countless shows and panel discussions at 10 participating music venues in the Fort Worth Stockyards this year alone. And since everything is bigger in Texas, you can place your bets this second annual event will be too.
Full conference passes, which include access to all panel discussions workshops and the live performances, are available now. General admission passes start at $49.50 for a two-day music pass (Friday and Saturday only).
A full festival schedule, including performances, conference panelists, topics, and workshops, with event times and venues will be announced soon.
“Our vision is to celebrate the musical heritage and history of the Stockyards and to create an experience that unites this landmark district in the heart of Texas,” said Love in February. “The Stockyards is home to so many iconic venues, it couldn’t be a better time to showcase the destination through the lens of live music.”
