In the latest information released by the U.S. Census Bureau, Fort Worth is number one on their list of the fastest-growing big cities in the country, with at least 500,000 residents.
Fort Worth grew 42% based on the five-year survey. Fort Worth's large growth is no surprise for its residents. Once nicknamed Panther City, for the ability of a panther to sleep undisturbed on the deserted, downtown streets, Fort Worth is now a large and bustling city with a population of almost 800,000 people.
Fort Worth beat Austin, who ranked number three on the list at only 27% growth, compared to Fort Worth's 42% growth. Fort Worth, are you ready for continued growth that rivals Austin?
