Former President Jimmy Carter and his wife, Rosalynn Carter, began their east Fort Worth Habitat for Humanity work project on Monday's rainy morning.
Every year since 1984, former President Carter and his wife give a week of their time to help Habitat for Humanity improve and build homes throughout the world. This year, the Carters will be in Fort Worth and Dallas for their work project on October 5th-11th.
The 2014 Carter Work Project in Fort Worth is taking place in the Central Meadowbrook neighborhoods in east Fort Worth. With the former President's help, the Trinity Habitat for Humanity plans to build 20 new homes and paint 44 houses as part of the city's "Cowtown Brush Up".
