Based on the powerful short story of the same name by Judy Budnitz, the opera depicts the harrowing saga of an american family in a post-apocalyptic world. Facing imminent starvation and struggling to retain their dignity , the family is put to the ultimate test of humanity when a man appears at their home dressed as a dog and begging for scraps.

Billy Bob's Texas - Kacey Musgraves
Texas-native and Nashville-based singer/songwriter, Kacey Musgraves released her Mercury Records Nashville debut album, Same Trailer Different Park, in the spring of 2013 to massive critical acclaim and recognition. The album, which she co-produced with Shane McAnally and Luke Laird, debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart making her the first solo female in five years to open at No. 1 with a rookie release, and just seventh in the 22-year Nielson SoundScan era.
Live Oak - Wes Williams Band
Founded by frontman singer/songwriter Wes Williams, the band is composed of some of the best young musicians from around the country. They have headlined tours around the nation, gaining popularity in the southwest and southeast. Most notably, they have developed strong followings in the nations music capitals, including New Orleans and Austin. The band is known for its amazing, crowd oriented live shows, pitch perfect harmonies, and their charming ability to make audiences fall in love night after night.

Billy Bob's Texas - Jason Bowland & the Stragglers
Bowing in 1999 with the regionally popular Pearl Snaps – a first teaming with Lloyd Maines, who Boland cites as one of several seminal influences on his sonic vision – the Stragglers built a rabid following from the Panhandle to the Gulf Coast. Over the intervening half-decade, the band would team with similar kindred spirits – from Billy Joe Shaver to Dwight Yoakam compadre Pete Anderson to the late Bob Childers – to create an uncompromising body of work, as whip-smart as it is body-moving.
