The Foundry District is getting a little more eclectic, as two local businesses — Craftwork Coffee Co. and Doc's Records & Vintage — will soon call the development home.
Developer M2G Ventures announced Tuesday that Doc's Records & Vintage, currently located on Camp Bowie Boulevard, will move its location to a 9,800-square-foot, re-imagined warehouse at 2632 Wiesenberger St. The record shop is set to open in October.
The warehouse will feature thousands of records, as well as vendor booths that will feature oddities and vintage wear. Its central location will provide more convenient access to the shop, as well as more room for hosting events.
“I love that the landlords are interested in contributing to the culture of Fort Worth,” owner Jenkins Boyd said in a press release. “I'm very excited to be involved with the Foundry and with like-minded people.”
Already having locations in Camp Bowie Boulevard and the Near Southside, Craftwork Coffee Co. will open its third and largest location in the building at 212 Carroll St.
The new shop will feature location-exclusive cocktail-coffee blends along with its traditional menu. It will also serve as a co-working space that includes office suites, call booths, conference rooms, and other amenities for small businesses.
“We've been searching for a central Fort Worth location for the past year, and after M2G's acquisition of 212 Carroll, we were confident that this was a fit for us,” Riley Klitz, co-owner of Craftwork Coffee Co., said in a press release.
212 Carroll is an 8,000-square-foot building with a midcentury modern design. Construction for the building began in August, and it's projected to open on Jan. 1, 2018.
