The Omni Fort Worth is hosting a viewing party at Whiskey & Rye this weekend for the Oscars. The event will be filled with special cocktails like Red Carpet Rum Runner, The Golden Statue, Best Dressed Cosmo and Starlet. If you decide to attend, you will receive ballots to vote on winners and then be entered into a drawing for prizes. Doesn't that sound like fun?
They have also provided some of their secret recipes for us to try! If you're having your own Oscars viewing party with family or friends, make sure to try some of these drink recipes for yourself.
Cocktail Recipes:
Red Carpet Rum Runner
Muddled blackberries
Simple Syrup
1.5 oz Appleton White Rum
.5 oz Banana Liquor
Pineapple Juice
Orange Juice
Muddle 2 blackberries with simple syrup, add all other ingredients and shake. Serve over ice.
The Golden Statue
1.5 oz Grey Goose
1 oz St. Germain
Fresh squeezed lime wedge
Splash orange juice
Splash simple syrup
Topped with Prosecco
Shake first 5 ingredient together, strain into a champagne flute, fill with Prosecco. Garnish with lemon twist.
Best Dressed Cosmo
1.5 oz Ultimate Vodka
1 oz Cointreau
1 oz cranberry juice
.75 oz fresh squeezed lime juice
Shake all ingredients together, strain into a martini glass. Garnish with an orange twist.
Starlet
.5 oz Remy Martin VS
.5 oz Cointreau
1 sugar cube
2 dashes Angostura bitters
Topped with champagne
Shake the first 4 ingredients together, strain into a champagne flute, fill with champagne.
