In only TCU’s third season in the Big 12 conference, Patterson led TCU to a Big 12 championship. The 2014 FBS Coach of the Year award, given by the coaches, is given annually to a college football coach. This is the second time that the AFCA gave Patterson this honor (previously awarded in 2009).
Patterson has won a total of 18 National Coach of the Year honors at TCU.
