Alamo Drafthouse
North Richland Hills’ Alamo Drafthouse Cinema is now playing.
The movie theater and restaurant/bar, located at 8380 Davis Blvd. near North Tarrant Parkway, opened just in time to take part in the “Avengers: Endgame” madness and will continue its soft opening phase through Thursday; guests can enjoy a 10 percent discount until then.
The grand opening celebration will run throughout the month of May, leading up to the first summer blockbuster, “Aladdin,” which opens on May 24. The following day, Alamo Drafthouse will host an “Aladdin”-themed bazaar on May 25.
This is Alamo Drafthouse’s seventh location in North Texas but the first for Tarrant County (other locations include Dallas, Denton, Frisco, Lake Highlands, Las Colinas and Richardson).
The 42,000-square-foot facility includes eight theaters, a full-service restaurant and an outdoor patio with a play area for children. Auditoriums are equipped with Sony Phosphor Laser Projection — the first theater in America with the state-of-the-art projection system — as well as bi-amplified QSC digital audio systems that provide full-range, multi-channel fidelity for faithful reproduction of audio soundtracks.
Alamo Drafthouse claims to have “no bad seat in the house,” eliminating the traditional front row from the auditorium’s layout. Theaters also feature luxury recliner seats with foot rests. There’s seating for 927 people, including a 240-seat Premium Large Format theater.
The location also has a pet-friendly patio located outside of Vetted Well, a casual restaurant and sports bar on-site.
