Why keep buying off the rack? More high-level executives are making bold style statements with custom-made clothing. Drew Jones of D. Jones Clothiers is delivering the perfect fit to men in North Texas.
Clothing says a lot about a man. A finely tailored wardrobe embodies intellect and a sense of taste. To stand apart from those wearing the standard uniform, which in many cases doesn't fit properly, get on board with custom tailoring. With hectic work schedules, D. Jones Clothiers makes it easy by coming to you. Graduating from Texas A&M in 2006 with a finance degree, Jones worked for a while in China. It was there that he experienced his first custom suit made by a Beijing tailor. It was then that a light bulb went off, and he knew that he was meant to create his own custom clothing company.
What service does D. Jones Clothiers provide?
We are a personal wardrobing company for men that creates bench-made clothing from smart casual wear to formal wear. Our philosophy is to methodically build a proper wardrobe and unique image for our client that makes sense for his lifestyle and career.
We serve our clients at the comfort of their home where we get to know them and evaluate their current wardrobe and style. We take more than 40 measurements and discuss our vision for their wardrobe and image.
From there we create specific combinations using British and Italian fabrics for suits, shirts, sport coats, slacks, tuxedos, ties and pocket squares.
Ultimately, we help our clients build their wardrobe with purpose and feel confident in 100 percent of what is in their closets. There's no better way of doing this than creating clothes and combinations specifically built for each of our clients.
What do you consider to be the most important aspects of a man's wardrobe?
The most important aspects of a man's wardrobe are having a great rotation of clothing that makes sense for that individual and making sure those items are a perfect fit. After all, what is the purpose of having 10 suits if you only really enjoy wearing two of them?
We are advocates for having fun and getting creative with your wardrobe, but it's amazing what you can do with basic colors and patterns when you have the perfect fit.
What areas do you serve?
We serve Fort Worth, Dallas, Oklahoma City and Houston, but if someone is serious about quality and their wardrobe, we go see them.
How does someone schedule a wardrobe consultation?
They can call us at 817.678.8306 or email us at [email protected]. We will talk to each individual and schedule a time to meet at their home or office.
Where do you acquire the fabrics you use?
We go to New York several times every year to meet with various mills out of Italy and England to pick our new fabrics for each season.
What is the typical turnaround time for menswear?
Since we employ our own tailors, we can make garments in as little as eight days. Our typical turnaround time is four weeks.
Who is your normal clientele, and would our readers recognize any of the men that you've styled?
Most of our clients are entrepreneurs and/or executives, but we do have many familiar names including Elvis Andrus, Nelson Cruz and Emmitt Smith.
FINISHING TOUCHES
Drew Jones understands the importance of impeccable accessories. That can include anything from personal touches like a monogrammed shirt and vintage cufflinks to a bold watch, designer suede dress shoes or vibrant tie with compatible pocket square.
