Gordon Boswell opened his namesake store in 1919 in the hospital district at 1220 Pennsylvania Ave. It was joined by another location in 1954 at 6204 Camp Bowie Boulevard in Ridglea Hills.
With two locations, Gordon Boswell Flowers has been a part of Fort Worth’s most cherished memories for 100 years.
Their creations have been seen in nearly every occasion: from weddings and birthdays to funerals and formal parties. Gordon Boswell has been a trusted name for generations and has become a local institution.
Gordon Boswell opened his namesake store in 1919 in the hospital district at 1220 Pennsylvania Ave. It was joined by another location in 1954 at 6204 Camp Bowie Boulevard in Ridglea Hills. The business then passed to his son-in-law, Felix Ankley. All four of Ankley’s daughters worked in the family business too, marking three generations of Boswells to run Fort Worth’s oldest florist.
They serve clients in Sundance Square and Magnolia with same-day deliveries, and have been delivering “love from home” in the form of fresh-cut floral arrangements and plants to TCU facilities since 1919. Their gift baskets have perked up dorm life for decades.
