1. State of the Arts: Lifting Every Voice: Making Space for History—and Healing—in Fort Worth
KERA’s Art & Seek is hosting an hour-long, moderated panel discussion about three new museums or cultural spaces in Fort Worth: the National Juneteenth Museum, the Fort Worth African American Museum and Cultural Center, and the Fred Rouse Center for Arts and Community Healing. 2. Syndicate Smokedown 2022
As if pitmasters and brisket lovers didn’t have enough to love about Cowtown. On April 30, the Fort Worth Stock Show Syndicate will host the first-ever Syndicate Smokedown, a premier large-scale nonprofit barbecue competition. The event will allow barbecue lovers to partake in a full day of activities, including a music festival with performances from Josh Grider and Drew Kennedy of Topo Chico Cowboys, The Randy Brown Show, and Lauren Corzine.

3. Adult Workshop: Print Your Protest
In connection with the exhibition "¡Printing the Revolution!: The Rise and Impact of Chicano Graphics, 1965 to Now," this hands-on event will allow visitors to create their own revolution posters after learning block printmaking techniques from Carter Community Artist Sarah Ayala.

4. Choate Fest
A bevy of some of Fort Worth’s most recognizable musicians are putting on an all-day music event where 100% of the proceeds will go to help Nick Choate, a treasure in the Fort Worth music community who was recently diagnosed with colon cancer.

5. Fort Worth Aviation Museum: Hops and Props Beerfest
Hops and Props is having its annual Veterans Recognition and Craft Beer Festival on Saturday at the Fort Worth Aviation Museum. There will be military re-enactors, aircraft rides, beer flights, live music, food, and vendors.

6. Magnolia at the Modern
The next feature to screen at The Modern’s long-running film series is “Aline,” a critically-acclaimed biopic about the life of Celine Dion.

7. Parents Night Out at the Fort Worth Zoo
While some consider the zoo synonymous with family outings, this Saturday, the Fort Worth Zoo is allowing parents to enjoy the attraction sans kiddos. Parents will get an opportunity to unwind with pizza, a movie, crafts, and a romantic stroll through the park.

8. The Music of Harry Potter
The Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra will be casting a spell with music from the magical world of Harry Potter. For one evening, nerds can delight in favorite scores from the franchise such as “Hedwig’s Theme” and “Nimbus 2000.” No muggles allowed.

9. Pate Swap Meet-Up
An event is perfect for all motorcycle and classic car lovers. The Pate Swap Meet is celebrating its 50th year with a three-day car, truck, and motorcycle show at the Texas Motor Speedway. On display will be classic, muscle, street rod, custom cars, and custom trucks.

10. Indie Sounds Open Mic & Showcase
Poets, singers, rappers, comedians, and musicians are invited to share their work at the Indie Sounds Open Mic & Showcase event presented by Artist Love Events. Ther will include food, drinks, and, obviously, plenty of entertainment.
