Here's one way to support local as we kick off holiday shopping season this weekend.
Two Near Southside establishments, Liberty Lounge and Tulips, are hosting an art market Sunday, featuring 30 local creators and their work. It's a twofold event — called "Liberty Lowdown" at Liberty Lounge and "The Sunday Brunch" at Tulips — done in collaboration with Art Tooth and Jackdaw Folk Art.
The event will take place from noon to 5 p.m. Tulips' market will be on the back patio, weather permitting, with chef Scotty Scott (also known as Cook Drank Eat) whipping up food.
