Fort Worth is feeling a little spookier with Halloween just days away, but for those with small children, haunted houses and ghost tours probably aren't the friendliest of family activities. If you're looking for a place to bring your little monsters this weekend, here are a few ideas.
Boo at the Zoo, Friday – Sunday
Where: Fort Worth Zoo
An annual favorite, Boo at the Zoo brings back treat stations, stage shows, and plenty of real-life creatures to view and snap photos with. If you haven't already, be sure to check out the newly opened Elephant Springs exhibit located right next to African Savanna. Costumes are a must.

Treat Street, Saturday
Where: Fort Worth Stockyards
Enjoy the Legends of Texas Spooktacular Show, face painting, costume contests, and trick-or-treating sprawled across the Livestock Exchange lawn, Stockyards Station, and Mule Alley. Admission is free, and kids under 12 in costume get half-price admission (and for their accompanying adult, $1 off admission) to the Cowtown Cattlepen Maze.

Where: Fort Worth Botanic Garden
The Fort Worth Botanic Garden is doing trick-or-treating drive-through style. Just don your costume and drive up to the main entry of the Garden Center in the circle driveway to pick up your goodies.

Where: Fort Worth Museum of Science and History
Show off your costumes at the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History as you embark on a scavenger hunt for treats and take part in Halloween-themed crafts and activities.

Where: Crockett Row at West 7th
Crockett Row at West 7th is celebrating Halloween with a chalk art festival, featuring a children’s area with the Party Patrol from Hank FM, face painting, a costume contest, drink specials for the adults, an amateur artist competition, and photo-worthy street art by professional artists.
