This year, all local celebrity chef Tim Love wants for Christmas are some cowboy boots and a hat or two. No, this isn’t a glimpse at Love’s Christmas list, instead this request is part of Love’s latest ALL IN Holiday Boot and Hat Drive initiative happening this holiday season. Basically, Love is calling on all of us in Cowtown to pay-it-forward to a few worthy members of the youth development organization known as Texas 4-H.
Love is requesting participants to donate new or gently used boots and cowboy hats to Tannahill’s Tavern & Music Hall at 122 E Exchange Ave Suite 200 to help a few 4-H members out. Don’t have the time to swing by Tannahill’s? No problem. Participants can also make monetary donations at shoptimlove.com.
However, participants who swing by Tannahill’s to drop off their “Cowboy Christmas” gifts, will receive warm hot chocolate, a free boot branding, and the opportunity to sign and hang an ornament on a special Tannahill’s angel Christmas tree, according to a release.
This new Western-wear-drive will benefit Tarrant County youth ages 8 – 17. What’s mainly needed are functional ranching boots, sizes 7 - 11 in the roper and work styles. In the neighborhood but don’t have a donation? Swing by ALL IN partner, Ariat International and get a new pair of boots to place under the Tannahill’s Christmas tree.
Members from Texas 4-H local chapters can pick up their boots and hats in person at a special event Love will be hosting on December 19 at 6 p.m. at Tannahill’s. Attendees are promised some hot chocolate, boot branding, live music, and a possible visit from a North Pole resident.
"I believe in the power of community and the joy of giving, especially during the holiday season, " Love says. “The ALL IN Holiday Boot and Hat Drive at Tannahill’s Tavern & Music Hall is our way of bringing the true 'ALL IN' spirit to the heart of Fort Worth. Let's come together to make this a Cowboy Christmas like no other, supporting these young people and celebrating the giving spirit that defines our North Texas community."
