The 2019 National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame induction ceremony at Dickies Arena
The National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame's 45th Annual Induction Luncheon and Ceremony will no longer be taking place this spring as originally planned.
The new date is Oct. 26 (moved from April 27), with the ceremony still taking place at Dickies Arena, honoring five new Hall of Fame inductees and the recipient of the Patsy Montana Award.
According to the museum, "The change of date was due to ensuring the well-being of visitors, staff, honorees, and volunteers."
“As excited as we are to induct this new class of amazing honorees, people’s health and safety is our first concern,” museum executive director Patricia Riley said in a statement. “We appreciate everyone’s understanding and will look forward to a great event in October.”
The five women joining the Hall of Fame in 2021 are artist Pop Chalee, roper Lari Dee Guy, equestrian Kathryn Kusner, cowboy hat designer Lavonna “Shorty” Koger, and country singer Miranda Lambert. Set to receive the Patsy Montana Award is Christina Voros, a cinematographer who has worked on hit series such as Paramount Network's "Yellowstone."
