The Fort Worth artist behind the Dream on Dreamer mural along Camp Bowie Boulevard has a new project in the works.
Katie Murray will paint a mural at the Thomas Place Community Center, located at 4237 Lafayette Ave. The mural measures about 30 feet long and 10 feet high, depicting illustrations of Fort Worth activities surrounding the word "community."
The City of Fort Worth has invited the public to join Murray in painting the mural on Friday and Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and registration has been filled. However, the public can still come to watch the mural be painted. The outline of the mural will be sketched on the wall, and participants will follow a paint-by-number format.
Murray is known for her public art around Fort Worth, namely the Dream on Dreamer mural at 5702 Locke St. and the Don't Quit Your Daydream mural at 200 Carroll St.
