Friday and Saturday, March 8th and 9th, the first antique and art show in the American west will round up shoppers for the 50th year at Fort Worth's Will Rogers Memorial Center. Few cities in the world host an antique and art show that is 50 years old, especially one whose customers range from former First Lady Laura Bush to “Storage Wars Texas” star Moe Prigoff.
I attended the Fort Worth Show of Antiques & Art last year, Winn in reluctant tow. I told him we would be there for no more than 20 minutes and boy did I fail on that time frame! An hour and a half later, after bribing my son with rewards for hanging in, I finally left...still feeling like I didn't really get it all in.
If there's a window of freedom in your schedule Friday or Saturday, this is one antique show you don't want to miss. In fact, I have a sliver of free time Friday after mom's group bible study to hop over for a nano-sec! I sure hope all the good stuff isn't sold by then! Kind'a like Marburger in Round Top, Texas...if you're not at the gates the sec they open, you miss out on a lot of good finds.
