The music's back on at Bass Performance Hall.
The Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra announced Monday that it will resume live performances this fall, with modifications to the schedule and reduced audience capacity.
In an effort to limit the number of people at each performance, the symphony is splitting performances between two venues — the Pops Series will take place at Will Rogers Memorial Auditorium, while the Symphonic Series will take place at Bass Hall.
The symphony will notify subscribers of new seating arrangements and also offer a fourth Saturday matinee performance to the Symphonic Series in order to meet subscriber demand.
“We recognize that the COVID-19 pandemic is still here in Texas, unfortunately, which is why we modified our schedule to insure our patrons are safe and socially distant while experiencing the power of live music,” Keith Cerny, president and CEO of the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra, said in a statement. “Music is a healing force that brings the community together. The FWSO hopes this season can serve as a symbol of hope and inspiration for the North Texas community and beyond.”
Single ticket sales will open Aug. 6. Other tickets for a special concert with cellist Yo-Yo Ma will go on sale Sept. 8. The most update season schedule is available on the symphony's website.
