MAIN ST. Fort Worth Arts Festival
MAIN ST. will host a virtual version of the event starting Monday and lasting through Sunday, April 19.
Don’t fret, art buffs and enthusiasts. MAIN ST. Fort Worth Arts Festival might be rescheduled for September, but those pining for some sort of cultural inundation this month can get their fix next week.
MAIN ST. will host a virtual version of the event starting Monday and lasting through Sunday, April 19 (the festival was originally scheduled for April 16 – 19).
The virtual festival will take place on MAIN ST.’s Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram profiles. Over 200 artists will share exclusive artwork images and behind-the-scenes studio tours. There will also be Facebook Live takeovers from various entertainers, interactive art tutorials, and recipes from favorite restaurants.
The festival is still tentatively scheduled for September — an event that typically takes over several blocks of downtown to showcase art, music, and local businesses. 2020 marks MAIN ST.’s 35th year hosting the event.
“Even though we can't all be together in downtown enjoying the art this month, we can still enjoy the amazing imaginations and creativity that this group of juried artists can bring to our lives through our virtual festival,” Nina Petty, chairwoman of the Festivals and Events Committee for Downtown Fort Worth Initiatives, Inc., said in a statement.
