If you're wondering which neighborhoods to drive around in Fort Worth to see Christmas lights, one local influencer has a few ideas.
Christy Dunaway Smith — the face behind the popular lifestyle blog, SoFortWorthIt — has created an app through Built Story that takes users on a self-guided tour showcasing 24 of the most festively decorated homes in the city. Simply download the Built Story app via the App Store or Google Play, search for the SoFortWorthIt Christmas Tour, and start driving. While the app is free, the tour itself is $10; and participants may start, stop, and re-take the tour as many times as they want for 30 days.
Stops are mainly on the south and west sides of Fort Worth, starting in the Overton Woods area up through Tanglewood and TCU, past the Cultural District, and ending at Westover Hills. Each stop has a specific theme, from "Santa's Reindeer" to "Candy Cane Lane," and photos are encouraged.
"Experience cheery front yards, including awe-inspiring light displays, shimmering trees, integrated musical shows, and ringing sleigh bells that will surely delight everyone," Smith said in a statement. "These are my must-see holiday landmarks in Fort Worth."
