We all probably know and love the big bloggers like Danielle Bernstein and Chiara Ferragni, but there are bloggers shaping the fashion and lifestyle world right here in Fort Worth. Here are seven local bloggers that are sharing their knowledge of being the best you through styling and life tips.
Sam Stewart - Style of Sam
Sam Stewart is the founder and voice of Style of Sam. Her blog focuses on the loves in her life, family and fashion. As a pharmacist, mom and wife, Sam writes about all things fashion, life and love. Her mantra is, “Fashion should be fun, and you are never too old to play dress up.” She loves trying different trends and focusing on emerging designers. Her style ranges from vintage, to boho chic, to haute couture.
Ashley Watten and Sarah LeafGren - Simply Sisters
Ashley Watten and Sarah LeafGren may not actually be sisters, but they are close to it. These two besties met while working at Pine Cove Christian Camps and have been inseparable ever since. They even bought houses right next door from each other. Ashley and Sarah started Simply Sisters out of a “desire to share what’s going on” in their lives and to share what they are loving, in a way that encourages “other women to live well in all areas of their lives.” They blog about faith, wellness, home, beauty and style.
Jennifer Gilmore - Sassy Teacher Chic
For Fort Worth native Jennifer Gilmore, her blog began 12 years ago as her inspiration to dress for her new job as an elementary school teacher. Her blog has now flourished into a way for Jennifer to share her “style, tips, travels and life’s little nuggets.” Jennifer uses her blog and social media accounts to showcase her life as a wife, mother, teacher and fashionista.
Laura Lape
Three years ago, Laura and her husband moved to Fort Worth from Canada. Shortly after falling in love with the city, Laura created her blog. She writes about her life as a mom, food, TV and film. You can catch up on her obsession with classic horror films, fashion, her church and her family through her blog and social media.
Stacey Connor - Life on Ladera
Stacey Conner created her blog, Life on Ladera, as a way to showcase the loves in her life: fashion, beauty, home decor and life as a mom of two. She hopes that “Life on Ladera can serve as a source of inspiration and a platform to connect with other women across the world.” She posts about everything from how to style a romper to engaging your wellness.
Kirstin Hodges - Styled by Sequins
Kirstin created Styled by Sequins with the hope to “empower women to shine in their own skin and always leave a little bit of sparkle!” Styled by Sequins is a blog “that offers a trendy, southern, teacher, style with a dash of sequins.” After moving from California to Nebraska, Kirstin and her husband found their way to Fort Worth and fell in love with the city. Kirstin blogs about style, beauty, fitness, travel and marriage.
Carol Tune
Founded in 2015, Carol dedicates her blog to building a community “for empowering women” and “encouraging them to reach their God given potential by dreaming big.” Carol strives to create a voice for those who feel less than worthy, because she has “been in that place and never wants anyone to be there.” Carol is an enthusiast of all things fashion, travel, coffee and growing your faith. Her blog “is a space to get some rad fashion ideas, life tips, encouragement and wonderlust.”
