An eco-friendly salon that got its start in downtown Fort Worth is expanding.
Benjamin Novak Hudgins, owner of Novak Hair Studios, has announced the opening of a second location at The Standard at Chisenhall in Burleson, set for early October.
Novak Hair Studios is a lease-style salon dedicated to styling hair in the most eco-conscious way possible. Like its downtown Fort Worth predecessor, the Burleson location will be equipped with the latest in air purification and water-reducing systems. Moreover, the studio will maintain the company’s partnership with Green Circle Salons to supervise the recycling of all hair foils and discarded hair clippings, as well as responsible disposal and cleaning of excess hair color chemicals.
The salon, located at 279 W. Hidden Creek Pkwy Ste. 1105., will be part of The Standard at Chisenhall — a new development that will soon be home to additional retail stores, restaurants, office spaces, and bike trails.
“We have found a perfect home for our first expansion. The Standard is committed to bringing new, exciting lifestyle options to the city of Burleson, and we want to be a part of that journey,” Hudgins said in a statement. “One of our core missions at Novak Hair Studios is a commitment to changing the industry — that means not going to cities that already have zero waste salon options for clients but stepping into a space that is hungry for innovation and change. We think Burleson is ready for a luxury experience with sustainable benefits for everyone.”
The 2,600-square-foot, multi-service beauty studio will welcome 18 new luxury solo artists, adding to the team of more than 80 artists at the downtown Fort Worth location.
Despite massive changes (and even temporary shutdown) due to COVID 19, Hudgins remains positive and sets his sights toward the future.
“If 2020 has shown us anything, it is that our loyal customers are just as committed to changing the world of beauty as we are," he said in a statement. "Our flagship location in downtown Fort Worth is on a waiting list for new stylists wanting to join the team, and we’ve seen more new customers than ever before. We were so unsure of what this year would bring, but over the past few months, we realized that people want to support a business they can trust. Our team has worked hard to earn that loyalty in Fort Worth and has big plans for the community of Burleson.”
Novak will celebrate the grand opening of its second location with food, drinks, and live entertainment on Oct. 4. Standard hours of operation are Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
