Feathers chief creative officer Leslie Harding Distler
The Foundry District, home to tenants like M&O Station Grill and the Leonard's Department Store Museum, is adding a new retailer to its list.
Women's apparel and gift shop Feathers will join the up-and-coming development in January. The store will occupy a 2,800-square-foot space at 2621 Whitmore St. Leslie Harding Distler, a buyer and manager for Leddy's Ranch in Sundance Square, will leave Leddy's on Dec. 9 to become Feathers' chief creative officer.
“I have been blessed by helping make people feel good about themselves,” Distler said. “Whether it's for personal fashion or creating a beautiful home, I believe individual style is all about projecting confidence. I'm excited to help people see and be their best through a unique mix of quality goods at moderate prices.”
The Foundry District is being developed by commercial real estate company M2G Ventures, which also offices in the district. The development is located on Weisenberger and Carroll streets, north of West Seventh Street. Painted on the building at 200 Carroll St. is the "Don't Quit Your Daydream" mural, one of three works in the Dreamer Series found around the city.
