TCU alumnus Harrison Herndon, 25, started his company DropShades as a sophomore in college. Now he’s getting ready to appear on primetime TV.
Herndon and his company will be featured on the CNBC show “Make Me a Millionaire Inventor” on Thursday at 9 p.m. The show, hosted by Deanne Belle and George Zaidan, gives investors the opportunity to receive feedback for their work, as well as showcase their product before potential investors. Herndon ended up getting two competing offers from investors, becoming the first contestant on the show to do so.
His company, DropShades, makes shutter shades equipped with LED lights that coordinate with the beat of music.
