Rodger Chieffalo and Jackie Prophit
Real estate developer Rodger Chieffalo's anticipated hat and accessories shop is finally opening in the Camp Bowie district.
Chieffalo Americana soft-opens Friday at 4698 Camp Bowie Blvd., carrying an array of accessories like belt buckles and cuff links, along with refurbished hats from the 1950s and '60s. The shop will also regularly showcase local artists — currently on display are the sketches of Marshall K. Harris and photos by Steve Wrubel — and host additional vendors like Jack Donnelly (khakis), Richter Goods (shirts), and Dead Eyes Vintage Eyewear.
Selling refurbished Western wear originally began as a side hustle for Chieffalo, who primarily works in real estate (he's currently one of the partners in the group that's revamping both the Roy Pope grocery store and Paris Coffee Shop). When sales for his goods exploded on Instagram, Chieffalo decided it was time to pursue a brick and mortar, setting up shop in a building owned by business partner Mark Harris. Chieffalo will now be running the shop with his wife, Jackie.
Following the soft opening, Chieffalo Americana will be open Tuesdays through Saturdays, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. More info at chieffaloamericana.com.
