Grab your lederhosen and bier steins, the three-day Oktoberfest — which, yes, will include the consumption of a plethora of hops-fueled libations — is returning to town Thursday through Saturday at Trinity Park.
The festival will kick off at 5 p.m. Thursday (the ceremonial “Tapping of the Kegs” will take place at 7:30 p.m.), and will take place from 5 to 10 p.m. Thursday and Friday, and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday.
Activities include the Dachshund dash, Oktoberfest Olympics, bier barrel rolling, a stein hoist competition, and much more.
The festival will also offer a bevy of authentic German cuisine, including schnitzel, strudel, pretzels, potato pancakes, and more Munich-inspired enjoyments. And you can quench your thirst that this savory food is bound to bring about by keeping your steins full of Spaten (which will be available on tap) and other Oktoberfest craft beers.
The event will also include shopping, polka, and live music from Alex Meixner Band, Alpenmusikanten, The Chardon Polka Band, Das Ist Lustig, Ginny Mac, Mike and the Middletones, Walburg Boys, Nick Ballarini, and Keine Kunst Folk Dance Troupe.
Y’all can get tickets starting at $10 — but changes depending on the day you’d like to attend — or $20 for a three-day pass.. Each ticket comes with a commemorative Oktoberfest stein.
Das ist lustig! (That means fun)
