As a member of Seventh Avenue, we need your help collecting teddy bears for every patient who stays overnight at Cook Children's. The hospital gives away 12,000 bears a year! Every child who is admitted receives a new bear for comfort.
This Sunday we will host our annual bear drive at Tillery Park and your admission is a new teddy bear. Mister Mark will be the entertainment along with bounce houses, face painting and temporary tatoo and hair color artists! Plus we'll be serving up Curley's hotdogs and sno-cones for everyone! So load up the car with kids and bring your bears for this wonderful charity event with friends, food and fun!
Seventh Avenue is a dynamic group of individuals and couples who play a significant role in Cook Children's future and ability to provide excellent health care for every child in our community. You can help Cook Children's continue to excel as one of the best pediatric health care systems in the country. When you join Seventh Avenue, you'll have opportunities to interact with patients, volunteer with your children and learn more about pediatric health care all while participating in fun social activities.

The Warm and Wooly Blanket Blowout is a favorite for members kids. As a family we head to the hospital each year and make blankets for patients and their siblings. It's fun for the whole family and a joy to see the smiles from the children who receive these special one-of-a-kind gifts.
Membership dues are $500 per couple (or $250 per person) and are paid annually. Part of what makes Seventh Avenue unique is that 100 percent of membership fees go directly to special projects at Cook Children's. Over the past three years, our members have made a huge impact on our patients and their families by raising more than $100K!
Here are a few examples of the impact Seventh Avenue has on Cook Children's:
- Camp Morning Star - $7,500
A camp for families who have lost a precious son, daughter, brother or sister within the past eighteen months. Current invitations go to 400 children and teens which represents 75 families.
- Grief and bereavement materials, sibling programming and patient special events for Child Life Dept. - $11,722
- Body Weight Supported Treadmill and a Rifton Activity Chair for our Rehab Dept. - $10,000
These items have been proven to help children with traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, closed head injuries, acute stroke cerebral palsy and other neurological conditions.
