An interactive, futuristic exhibit is coming to downtown Fort Worth.
From Sept. 28 to Oct. 28, Downtown Fort Worth, Inc. will host art exhibit, LOOP, in Burnett Park at 501 West Seventh Street. The exhibit will be the first of its kind in the state of Texas.
LOOP is a broad combination of a railway handcar, a music box and a zoetrope — an optical toy that was invented in the 19th century that displays still images at rapid speed to give the illusion of motion.
Showing 12 different childhood fairy tales, LOOP lets people sit inside the oversized wheel and pump the lever at the center to begin the bright, retro-futuristic performance.
Each loop will feature black and white images that can be seen from both inside and outside the wheel.
“Downtown Fort Worth is where the unexpected happens. We hope this world class exhibit is enjoyed by people from throughout the Metroplex,” Downtown Fort Worth, Inc. president Andy Taft said in a statement.
The exhibit will be on display seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. More information can be found on Downtown Fort Worth, Inc.'s website.
