Martin House Brewing Company
Best Maid Sour Pickle Beer
Using a sour beer base, Martin House mixes in sour pickle juice to create a delicious, tart treat that will definitely make any pickle lover’s day.
Martin House Brewing Company took the craft beer scene by storm last September with its Best Maid Sour Pickle Beer. But for those craving to pucker with an extra kick: good news.
Best Maid Spicy Pickle Beer is on the way, coming in cans this March. And just like with the original Pickle Beer, a party from noon to 5 p.m. on Saturday, March 7 will allow pickle fans to try the new brew at Martin House, 220 S. Sylvania Ave.
“You know we had to can the spicy version. It was a hit when we sampled it at the original pickle beer launch party, so we’re [bringing] it back in cans for a very limited time,” Martin House says in a Facebook event.
Tickets for the party get you one Best Maid/MHBC pint glass and four 8-ounce pours of beer. Spicy Pickle Beer four-packs will also be sold for $10.
In addition, Martin House will introduce four pickle beer variants. They’ll be on tap at the kickoff party:
- Xtreme Sour
- Xtreme Hot
- Bloody Mary
- Jalapeño Bread N Butter
Three food trucks — DK's Twisted Smokers BBQ & Grill, Heim Barbecue, and Rollin-Stone Food Truck — will be on site. And if pickle beer just isn’t your thing, 30 other beers will be made available.
Tickets run for $15 online, and for $20 day-of at the door. Designated drivers, non-drinkers, and kids don’t have to pay.
